General care tips for keeping your tires in top condition and keeping your car on the road!

Proper inflation is the key to tire life. Always avoid under inflation. When in doubt, always check the tire manufacturer's recommended air pressure stamped into the sidewall of the tire. Check the air pressure of your tires on a regular basis...remember, tires can lose up to 5 pounds of air pressure per month.  Properly inflated tires give better performance, and last longer!

Always keep whitewall tires wrapped until you are ready to have them mounted. If storage is necessary, keep them in a cool, dry area and laid flat. Store them away from sunlight or any electric motors. Remember, ozone kills rubber!

Black Rubber Stains Whitewall Rubber!
Never lean or stack the whitewall side of a tire against the black sidewall of another tire. If this occurs, permanent brown stains may appear in the whitewall.

Inspect your tires on a regular basis. Check both the sidewall and the tread areas for cuts, abrasions, cracks, white wall staining, or irregular wear.  If problems are found, immediately replace the tires.

Replace old tires. Tires that are dry and hard are more likely to skid on slick surfaces. When replacing tires, always equip them with new tubes and flaps or rimstrips.

Never mix tires of different size or construction on the same axle. Always avoid mixing radial and bias-ply tires on the same vehicle.

Clean your tires regularly.  Use only top quality, name-brand, non-bleach and non-silicon cleaners on whitewall tires. We recommend our Wide White and Big Classic dressing. Clean Often.
