How to store your tires before installation Print E-mail
It is VERY important to properly store your tires, especially whitewalls, until the time you install them on the car.  If you don't, you could potentially permanently damage the tire.

Until the tires are mounted on your car make sure that the tires are:

- Kept in a cool, dry area.  It is best to keep them off of the ground, away from any potential moisture.

- Keep tires wrap until mounted to protect the white wall form getting dirty or “stained” from dirt, grim, grease, and oil.. White rubber is easily stained and should be protected as well as possible and cleaned often to keep it bright white.  Road film – dirt, dust, grease and grim picked up just from driving will stain and dull a white wall over time, particularly if allowed to stay on and penetrate the white rubber.

- If the whitewalls are unwrapped at any point, make sure they do not touch the black wall of any tire!  This will permanently damage the whitewall.

- Keep the tires out of direct sunlight.  Over time, this can damage the tire.
